Requirements First, you must install either MS Access 2002, 2003 or 2007, or install MS Access 2007 Runtime available free from the MIcrosoft Download website onto each computer that is to run the program, Look for and download and install as required, the following To run the access application if you don't have MS Access installed get the Access 2007 Runtime - 56Mb, from here If using Access 2007 (full or runtime), it is useful to send reports to others by email in PDF Format which can be done by installing the SaveAs PDF add-in available from here When using any of the Access software whether it be the full retail version 2002, 2003, 2007, or the runtime software, it is very important that the latest Microsoft Service Packs for these softwares (at least Service Pack 3) have been installed to upgrade your software and fix known bugs that may prevent the application from running properly. See Microsoft Update here for these updates if they are required (Microsoft Update will determine if they are required) |

| Simple,
single computer |

| 1 | Create a folder named SSJC on the C: drive on your computer, and extract the contents of the program zip file (see Downloads page) to this folder (If you are upgrading to a later version, only extract the program file, and you are finished at this step) |
| 2 | Copy the lnk file "Run SSJC with Runtime 2007" to the desktop |
| 3 | Double
click on the desktop icon representing the desktop copy
of "Run
SSJC with Runtime 2007" to start the program,
and enter a valid userid and password. The first time you run the
program, it will want some things identified, e.g. The
workgroup,
when
prompted, look for and select the file system.mdw under the
folder
c:\ssjc, and when asked for the data file, look for the file
SSC Competition Data.mdb, and the first time you log in, it
will
want you
to select or create a show The initial userid is sccuser, and the initial password is sccpass. It is suggested you at least change the password as soon you start entering privacy information like Addresses and Phone Numbers |
| Multi
user, i.e. additional computers |

| 4 | Create a home network linking the multiple computers. Use windows help on the start menu to find out how to do this by searching for help on creating a home network or connecting two computers. With Windows XP, it is as simple as going to the control Panel and running the "Network setup wizard" |
| 5 | follow steps 1-2 above on each of the additional computers |
| 6 | On the additional computers, delete the file "SSC Competition Data.mdb" from the SSJC folder on the additional computer, to make the program look for the data file on the main computer of the network |
| 7 | Double click on the desktop icon representing the desktop copy of "Run SSJC with Runtime 2007" to start the program, and enter a valid userid and password, and follow the prompts to point to the data file on the first computer across the network. |
NOTES!! The automatic emailing of Accounts with rider Schedules will not work under the Access Runtime, to have this option work, the operators computer must be running the full retail version of Access. |
